The party has won a majority following the capitulation of the Labo*r vote - winning 57 seats of the 81 available.
On a disastrous day for Labo*r, the Tories lost a whopping 52 seats from the start of the day and have relinquished control of the council after 30 years in power.
The Liberal Democrats have moved into second position and are now the main opposition group with 12 councillors.

the real world, a certain local news-site’s army of right-wing trolls are in
raptures about the KCC election results. Needless to say, the record-breaking ‘comments’ section
is virtually devoid of sensible opinions, being dominated as ever by the same
old Labo*r-bashing right-wing trolls and their multiple user IDs. And, as ever,
they insult and gaslight anyone who dares to suggest that Farage and his
acolytes, whilst pretty good at spouting headline-grabbing sound-bites, may not
actually be much good at ‘government’. It’s completely demented cyber-bullying stuff
that no decent public news outlet should tolerate - but it is very funny,
albeit in a disturbing “pity the empty lives of the trolls” sort of way…
