A MORON pop-up ad caused some amusement when an eagle-eyed reader pointed out that the man holding the mobile phone appeared to have a thumb and FIVE fingers, rather than the normal four.
Needless to say, the smartarse has been banned from our website as one thing we at the MORON really hate is being laughed at. Fortunately, none of our other readers noticed the error (or maybe they really do all have extra fingers) so we've quietly withdrawn the ad before anyone else has a giggle at our expense.
"We see our advert as a celebration of diversity", said the MORON's editor Sir Paul Mental.
"It's nothing to do with us getting rid of our graphics designer to save a bit of money, and getting an unpaid intern to knock up the artwork for our ads instead. So there..."
In the real world, the quality of a certain local news site's advertising graphics seems to be on a par with its journalism...
