More whiny millionaires upset by the thought of paying more tax... |
A go-slow tractor protest rumbled through Midway as farmers vented their anger over Labo*r’s inheritance tax changes.
Pictures show the vehicles in Stroochester today (Wednesday), with one eyewitness saying about 100 came through the Stroochester roundabout onto the A234 towards the town centre. The protest attracted no local attention whatsoever, however.
“We’re used to farmers driving their tractors down our main roads during rush hour, covering the roads and passers-by in mud and filth and generally causing as much inconvenience as they can because they think it’s a laugh to inconvenience ‘townies’ like us,” said one local resident.
Midway Police blocked off the town centre but this proved no barrier to the protesters, who drove their farm vehicles straight through the cordon, narrowly missing two police officers.
Superintendent Grabber |
“Tazering a few lefty hippies, dragging them off and throwing them in the back of a wagon is just fine, but if we do that to rich landowners we just know the national press will be on our case moaning about “two-tier policing”. So we let the posh farmer types do what they want, it’s not worth the aggro…”
The protest had been arranged jointly by the Farmers Against Raising Tax (FART) and the Billionaire Owners of Land Lying in the Old County of Kent Society (BOLLOCKS).
Mick Darkson: Billionaire hobby farmer... |
“The FART will kick up stink a about this until the government show they are prepared to talk to the BOLLOCKS…”
They are demanding that the government axes its plans to impose a 20% inheritance tax (IHT) on farm assets worth £1 million or more from April 2026.
Both campaign groups say they are also furious about the government’s abject failure to “leave us alone like the Tories did and allow us to use farm land to squirrel away our billions”.

He told the website: “The Labo*r government shouldn’t be going after hardworking land speculators like me. Only poor people should be paying tax, not rich people like me.”

The changes to inheritance tax rules announced in the Autumn Budget sent shock waves through Midway’s farming community.
Families who spent generations building up their farm businesses, often on very tight profit margins, fear the “destruction” of their way of life after reading the scare stories put out in the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail.
Thomas Grobag: Evicted... |
The owner of Grobag Farm and Luxury Camping at Buxley near Chattingham, said: “I would love my family to continue the business that my father started - and for the next generation and their children.”
“But the reality according to the right-wing press is that my family could be left with a huge tax bill which would mean having my family getting evicted and having to live in tents while millions of illegal immigrants get to be put up in luxury hotels.”

Farmers have been told by fake farmers like Jeremy Clarkson and James Dyson (who

So they are angry. The same people who by majority voted for Brexit even though
they were one of the groups most harmed by the vote. No sympathy. It’s just a
load of whining by the self-entitled rich. For too long, Tories have framed “tax”
as a burden rather than a civic duty to help those less fortunate than (this comment has been edited as it not in

A typical far-left trope of abuse by a cretinous leftie driven by class envy and
hatred of anyone better off than himself. Why shouldn’t the wealthy buy up
farmland in order to try and shelter their wealth from this corrupt Labo*r
administration, which is using tax-payer’s money to fund a tidal wave of
illegal immigration aimed at wiping out English culture and establishing a
communist hegemony?
Grey Mondeo Man replied:
And still no verified concrete examples of what the farmers are whining about.
Why don't a few of them open their books and give us the evidence? I mean they
must have it. Mustn't they?

“Fact-checking” is not a process of regurgitating lies, unsupported assertions
and selective reporting from right-wing sources that are renowned for their
poor quality and outrageous bias.
Please try again, citing a source that isn’t regularly pulled up by Ofcom for biased and inaccurate reporting.
Yu Rong replied:
Ooooh get you and your tantrums. Why shouldn’t I quote sources that reinforce my own prejudices and amplify what
I think I already know? Your “holier than thou” attitude on insisting on actual
facts is just so much sealioning, or some such other trendy internet insult.

Why should rich landowners have to
justify their finances to unwashed socialist class warriors such as yourself?
If we say something is true, then it is. The word of rich people such as myself
has long been the law of this land. We do not need to provide “evidence” to
arrogant upstarts like you. Allowing the plebeian classes to question the
feelings and assertions of their betters is the path to anarchy and madness, a
path that St*rmer and his communist storm-troopers seem to be sending us down.
Grey Mondeo Man replied:
I just want to see some real
examples from real farms and real people about what the IHT changes will really
mean. Many suspect that this is just nonsense and trouble for the government being
stirred up by a bunch of Tory-loving landowners and their chums in the Tory
press. Persuade me I'm wrong. With facts.
Kent’s Greatest Prick Ever replied:
I have my own rage, feelings and

At the end of the day, this Labo*r government is making our
lives worse right now - more expensive, and the morale of most of the country
is very low with little to look forward to. We need some good news for the
majority of people, not just public sector workers, illegal immigrants and
benefit claimants. Under the Tories, Boris used to tell us that everything was
great, we all had more money in our pockets and the country was growing
economically. That’s a much nicer story than the gloom and doom of the
socialist miserablists now in charge - unless you prefer the lefty semantics
calculator!!

spreading misinformation again. Just because you can't do it, the Far Leftist

What's even more comical is telling others that you no longer converse with
