Shoe shop forced to close by evil Chancellor R*chel Re*ves... |
Three budget shoe shops operating in Midway under the SlipShod banner have been deemed “unviable” by their management and are set to close - but nine others will remain open.
Shops in Chattingham, Rainingham
and Stroochester are among those across the
The group - which employs about 2,280 staff across 322 stores in the UK - said evil Chancellor Rachel Re*ves’s move to increase employers’ national insurance contributions and increase the minimum wage has “given us the perfect excuse to close stores we were going to close anyway, and blame the Labo*r government for it. We've been struggling for years so it's nice to use the Labo*r government as a scapegoat for our own bad decisions.”

The exact closing date of each store is unknown, and it is not clear how many workers are affected. Nine other shops in the Midway area will remain open.
The group has already been closing loss-making stores over the past two years in line with the group’s declining share price. Some 34 stores had closed prior to October’s budget.
Nevertheless, we’re going promote the view that it’s all the fault of Keir Sta*mer, Rachel Re*ves and the Labo*r government just like we do whenever there’s any bad news.
SlipShod said it had also seen “very challenging trading conditions, as shoppers have pulled back from buying our extremely cheap footwear, preferring instead to pay a bit more elsewhere for shoes that don’t disintegrate after a few weeks.”
“There can be no doubt that this is all down to Keir Sta*mer, Rachel Re*ves and the Labo*r government, who are wholly responsible for the change in our customer’s spending habits and our clapped-out business model of being reliant on cheap Chinese imports and having too many shops too close together, all selling exactly the same cheap, poor-quality rubbish.”
Shares plunged by as much as 4% on Wednesday morning as it cautioned that due to the evil anti-business Labo*r government and having to pay its staff a decent wage, annual profits would be lower than expected.
It also cancelled its final shareholder dividend payout for 2023 to 2024.
“Our director and executive remuneration is our number one priority, so shareholders can bugger off,” said a company spokesman.
SlipShod said annual sales fell by a massive 2.7%, which it expected will leave 2023-24 profits at “not less than” £9.6 million against the £10.2 million reported the previous year.
The profit warning marks the second in as many months after it also lowered guidance in October, blaming anything and everything but the need to satisfy its greedy directors.
In the real world, the usual trolls are absolutely delighted about the latest bit of bad news on the High Street. I mean, no shops ever closed down when the Tories were in charge, did they…?

Where are the views of our usual far-left commenters on all of this? I've noticed they've all gone quiet of late. Is
it finally sinking in that Labo*r are economically inept? All newspapers (or at least, the ones that I read) say that Sta*mer and Re*ves' budget has been proven to
deliver the complete opposite to what they intended. They have taken the brilliant Tory economic legacy left to us by Brexit and the towering genius of politicians of the calibre of Liz Truss, and have managed to destroy it all in their first few weeks of
power!

I note that you regard anyone who doesn’t
share the views of the right-wing trolls on here as a “far-left commenter”(sic). I suspect that some of us have "gone quiet" due to the sheer weight of abuse, gas-lighting
and made-up drivel that is directed against anyone who attempts to present
arguments that differ from those who would like to pretend that the preceding 14
years of Tory government were a triumph of statesmanship and economic brilliance.
Yu Rong replied:
Ooooh you poor thing. Here’s an
idea. Why don’t you stop writing things we don’t like? Then we’ll stop abusing
you.
Chad Grindr replied:
GMM is just another mentally
deficient SHOUTY FAR-LEFT LOON!!! WHY DO YOU FAR-LEFT IDIOTS HAVE TO SHOUT ALL

Neil Barse replied:
Once again GMM, you fail to understand that this forum is not about rationale
debate, it is about WINNING. And our combination of insults, random distraction
issues, whataboutery and gaslighting drive any rational observers away, meaning
that WE WIN all of the time. You can never win because you are a sad lazy
parasitic far-leftist idiot and are unable to hold any sort of discussion
without resorting to vile, frothing insults. Crawl away and die, you
tofu-eating, Guardian-reading pillock.
Grey Mondeo Man replied:
Quod Erat Demonstrandum…
Neil Barse replied:
Now you have even resorted to writing your vile insults in French, typical
UK-hating far-left cretin that you are.

Hope those effected by this sad news will be OK. However,
the loss of a few hundred jobs is thoroughly worthwhile if it gives us an

But you did.
Well done.

Once again Tornado Watcher confesses the truth about themselves before slinking
